A leading healthcare provider in Wrexham is seeking an experienced Senior Oncology Pharmacist to support pharmacist-led clinics and manage a caseload of oncology patients. The ideal candidate will be an Independent Prescriber with a clinical pharmacy diploma and experience in oncology settings. This role includes training staff and developing clinical services to improve patient care. Competitive remuneration and a supportive work environment are offered.
This exciting role has been created to support pharmacist-led clinics for oncology patients at Wexham Park Hospital. You will be joining a respected team of pharmacists and technicians delivering services to our patients at Wexham Park Hospital. You will be participating in clinics for SACT prescribing, confirming treatments, managing side effects and counselling patients to transform our service to oncology patients. This will include writing the defined outpatient clinic protocols for NMP's to support activity within the tumour group. You will also spend time training your colleagues to ensure there is shared learning, screening SACT prescriptions and providing directorate support. You will work closely with the team of oncologists and clinical nurse specialists.
The post holder should have completed the clinical diploma or equivalent, and must be an Independent Prescriber.
