Job summary

A prominent energy consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for a key role in the offshore wind sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in offshore projects, specifically with 66kV authorisation. Responsibilities include ensuring electrical safety, producing switching schedules, and supporting testing and commissioning of systems. This long-term role offers a competitive daily rate and involves a 2-week on/2-week off rotation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in offshore wind projects.
  • GWO certifications required: Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling.
  • Current SAP authorisation to at least 66kV.

Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – Offshore Wind

💨 Sector : Offshore Wind

📍 Location : Offshore (Mobilisation from Northeast England)

🔄 Rotation : 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

📅 Start Date : ASAP

⏳ Duration : 12 Months + Likely Extension

💰 Rate : £850 per day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)

✅ Clearance : BPSS + Medical Questionnaire + Proof of Right to Work in the UK

Are you an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) ready to take on a high-impact role in the offshore wind sector?

We’re looking for a skilled professional to ensure electrical safety and deliver critical isolations and safety documentation under client Electrical Safety Rules.

What You’ll Do
  • Act as SAP, reporting to the Lead SAP, ensuring safe working practices and compliance with HV safety rules.
  • Produce and review switching schedules.
  • Carry out isolations, earthing, and issue safety documents.
  • Support testing and commissioning of HV / LV systems.
  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture through audits, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
  • Provide personal supervision when required.
What We’re Looking For
  • Essential : Previous offshore windfarm experience and 66kV authorisation.
  • Full GWO certifications : Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights.
  • Offshore medical certificate (including Chester Step) + HUET.
  • Knowledge of WTG WTSR and Electrical Safety Rules.
  • ONC / HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • Current SAP authorisation to 66kV or above (will also consider 33kV SAPs with multi-feed experience).
