Sales Engineer (Southern)

Our client is a specialist supplier of Radiation Monitoring systems. They are the UK's leading supplier of radiation dosimetry systems which are used by Hospitals, industrial, nuclear and research facilities.

Purpose

The Sales Engineer will promote and sell products and services to new and existing customers. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle including the technical demonstration of products to after sales support.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
-Ability to drive sales and revenue to support the continued growth
-Managing existing clients and delivering new business
-Proactively building and maintaining strong customer's relationships
-On the road 3 days a week undertaking customer visits and demonstrations.
-Managing customer's expectations throughout pre & post-sales
-Using CRM on day-to-day basis
-Learning the technology used
-Working very closely both internally and with our partners to ensure execution of our company objectives to the highest possible level
-Technical support enquiries
-Acting as an ambassador for our client.

Key Skills & Competencies
-Minimum of 3+ years of experience in sales
-Knowledge of radiological instrumentation or scientific instrumentation desirable.
-Interpersonal skills with good business acumen
-Good written and verbal communication skills with problem solving approach
-Working comfortably within a small team
-Ability to build long term business relationships
-Excellent telephone skills
-Good level of listening skills
-Degree in Physics or similar scientific discipline preferable but no essential
-Sharp negotiation and time-management skills
-Confident understanding of sales process
