A leading research institute in Cambridge is seeking a Research Support Officer for a fixed term of 2 years. This role involves establishing an electron microscopy lab, coordinating lab supplies, and supporting innovative neuroscience research. Candidates should have a relevant scientific degree and experience in laboratory management. Research Support Officer — Fixed term, 2 years. MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK. Starting salary if offered at Band 4 £40,832 - £45,589 or Band 5 £30,911 - £35,346 per annum.
The successful applicant will be appointed, depending on experience and qualifications, at either MRC Band 5 within a salary range of £30,911 - £35,346 per annum or Band 4 within a salary range of £40,832 - £45,589 per annum. For appointment at Band 5, the successful appointment will hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry or related subject. For appointment to Band 4, the successful applicant will have a master’s degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry or a related subject.
