Job summary
A logistics company in Lancashire seeks a reliable candidate to manage stock control and provide administrative support in the storage department. The role involves monitoring stock movements, ensuring compliance with safety legislation, and assisting colleagues and management. Starting salary is £25,500, with a review after 6 months. Hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30.
Qualifications
- Experience not essential but preferable.
- Punctual and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Monitor stock control movements.
- Log in/out stock daily.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Operate under Health and Safety/BRC standards.
- Update customers/staff of changes and delays.
- Provide essential support for smooth office operations.
- Manage phone calls & emails, organize files.
- Provide administrative assistance to colleagues & management.
Carry out the day-to-day procedures of the storage dept, communicate with warehouse staff and ensure that the customer's requirements are met.
- Monitor stock control movements through book in / out schedule.
- Log in / out stock daily; ensure all platforms are updated throughout the day.
- Ensure that all safety requirements and legislation are complied with.
- Operate with particular regard to Health and Safety / BRC standards and environmental controls.
- Continually update customers / staff of any changes and delays.
- Provide essential support to ensure a smooth-running office.
- Managing phone calls & emails, organise digital & paper files.
- Provide general administrative assistance to colleagues & management.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00 to 17.30hrs - 8 ½ hours per day (includes 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
Starting salary £25,500.00 to start, reviewed after 6 months.
