Job Description

The Recycling Forklift Operative will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials within the recycling facility. This role involves ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials, performing routine maintenance on forklifts, and adhering to health and safety regulations. The Recycling Forklift Operative will also assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment and collaborate with team members to optimize recycling processes.

Responsibilities:

– Operate forklifts to move materials within the recycling facility.
– Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
– Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on forklifts.
– Ensure the efficient and safe handling of materials.
– Adhere to health and safety regulations.
– Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
– Record and report material movements accurately.

Duration: Immediate start on going temp to permanent role

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: £12.74 p/h BasicOT paid at time and a Half

Working Hours: Monday - Friday0800 -163040 hours a week30 Min Breaks

Experience & Qualifications

– Previous experience operating forklifts in a production or recycling environment.
– Valid forklift operator certification.
– Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
– Good communication and teamwork skills.
