Job summary

A quality control organization based in Stonehouse is looking for an inspector to perform quality control inspections on production materials and goods. The ideal candidate should be highly observant and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills. You'll handle quality issue reports and collaborate closely with senior staff. The position offers 30 days holiday, a pension scheme, and a starting pay of £13 per hour. Training is provided, and you will work 40 hours a week.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control inspections of materials and goods for production.
  • Complete goods-in paperwork and ensure all documents are correctly filed in supplier folders.
  • Carry out QC inspections on moulding, extrusion, assembly, and packing operations.
  • Ensure in-line process inspections are completed to standard.
  • Check that all production and quality paperwork is complete and samples are present; report missing paperwork.
  • Ensure all work coats are placed in the washing basket and taken to the washing room; start the first wash load.
  • Add scrap sheets to the relevant work order folders; ensure scrap is logged correctly and sheets are completed at the end of the order.
  • Raise Quality Issue reports for goods-in and production where required; ensure reports are followed through to closure.
  • Communicate quality issues to senior staff and raise production concerns with the production team.
  • Carry out any reasonable tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

  • Previous experience in a QA role or experience in quality inspection.
Shifts

You will rotate every two weeks between the following start times:

  • Monday 07:00–16:00 / 07:30–16:30 / 08:00–17:00
  • Tuesday 07:00–16:00 / 07:30–16:30 / 08:00–17:00
  • Wednesday 07:00–16:00 / 07:30–16:30 / 08:00–17:00
  • Thursday 07:00–16:00 / 07:30–16:30 / 08:00–17:00
  • Friday 07:00–13:00 / 07:30–13:30 / 08:00–14:00
