Fenham, Newcastle | Full-time | £89.38–£95 per day | Term-time only | Core hours: 8:30 - 15:30

Role

We’re seeking a calm, energetic 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to work closely with a Year 3 pupil. The school supports children with high needs and has a hands-on SENCO alongside you. The school is a welcoming, community-driven primary school that values inclusion and nurturing every child as an individual. The team is experienced, supportive, and passionate about helping pupils thrive.

Responsibilities

You’ll be the child’s go-to adult. They’re sociable, active, and enjoy outdoors, but may find classroom expectations challenging when overwhelmed. The ability to stay calm, patient, and consistent is key to supporting demand avoidance and dysregulation.
