Overview

Lloyds Clinical are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Phlebotomy Healthcare Assistant to join our Clinical Contact Centre team. This role will involve visiting patients in person to perform blood draws and providing remote support, ensuring the highest levels of care and professionalism. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing patient care, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, and ensuring compliance with all professional and regulatory standards.

Key duties include educating patients on the phlebotomy process, offering emotional support, performing blood draws with strict adherence to hygiene and safety protocols, and proactively following up with patients after visits. You will work closely with the scheduling team to coordinate appointments, monitor the blood inbox, and ensure patients receive necessary equipment and care. Additionally, you will maintain patient confidentiality, complete all necessary consent forms, and report any changes in patient health or adverse events.

To succeed in this role, you\'ll be a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist with a strong foundation in phlebotomy techniques and a keen attention to detail. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to engage effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare teams. You understand the importance of adhering to company policies, regulatory standards, and current legislation, ensuring that all aspects of care are compliant and safe.

Your ability to build rapport with patients is key to providing them with reassurance and support throughout their care journey. You are sensitive to their concerns, particularly when it comes to blood draws, and you take the time to address their needs with empathy and professionalism.
You’ll be travelling between patients throughout the day, so a full UK driving licence is also essential.
