Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Patient Environment Assistant (Porter). 37.5 hours per week flexible rota over 7 days. May include weekends.

You should be hard working, punctual and able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the clinical teams in maintaining the optimum environment for our patients.
• Main duties include support for patient movement, removal and disposal of waste, and handling of medical gases.

Locations

Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

All three main hospitals provide a range of services including emergency and non-emergency care, outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery, as well as local outreach services and diagnostics from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
