Job description
Overview

Mobile Vehicle Technician role based in Ipswich. Salary: £38,625 per year basic, with the potential to earn up to £50,000 with bonuses and overtime; overtime is paid at 1.5x. Guaranteed overtime option can increase base salary to £44,385. Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays.

This role is with a leading vehicle breakdown company in the UK, providing a first-class service directly to customers at their home, workplace, or other locations, beyond the constraints of a traditional workshop.

Responsibilities
  • Attend breakdowns with the breakdown team to diagnose issues and determine whether the vehicle can be repaired on-site or should be returned to a workshop.
  • Identify problems and advise customers on the vehicle’s issues.
  • Perform vehicle servicing and general maintenance, including electrical work and diagnostics.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service as the face of the business.
Requirements
  • Preferred: Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; Level 2 considered, with equivalents such as City & Guilds, IMI, or NVQ. Must be able to demonstrate qualifications.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a vehicle workshop or as a Mobile Vehicle Technician.
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points or bans.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
