Mechanical Technical Services Manager

Location: Near Swindon

Salary: Up to £65,000 + benefits

A well-established building services contractor is seeking a Mechanical Technical Services Manager to oversee mechanical service delivery across a range of commercial environments. This is a key role supporting planned maintenance, technical compliance, and project works, while providing guidance to both internal teams and clients.

The Role
  • Lead and support mechanical service teams across commercial sites
  • Act as the technical authority for mechanical systems including HVAC, plant rooms, hot and cold water, and heating systems
  • Oversee PPM strategies and ensure statutory compliance
  • Provide engineering solutions, advise on asset lifecycle plans, and support small works projects
  • Conduct site audits, troubleshoot plant issues, and guide remedial actions
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring high standards of service and communication
What We're Looking For
  • Strong background in mechanical building services maintenance
  • Experience supervising / leading engineering teams or contractors
  • Previously held commercial gas qualifications (ideal but not essential to hold currently)
  • Confident in reading technical drawings, diagnosing system faults, and advising on remedial works
  • An organised communicator who can balance technical detail with clear advice
