Qualifications

Overview

37.5 hours per week. Maintenance Engineer role in a heavy forge environment with Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA).

Join one of the UK’s leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers as a Maintenance Fitter within the Maintenance Engineering team.

Responsibilities
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks
  • Installation of new plant
  • Planning mechanical maintenance tasks for completion during the shutdown
  • Development and upgrading of existing equipment
  • Good knowledge of safety and permit to work systems
More about you
  • Apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias
  • Experience in a heavy forge environment
  • Good working knowledge of hydraulics (ideally Oilgear Towler)
  • Great mobile plant maintenance skills (manipulator, FLT and OHC)
  • Experience of breakdowns on presses, hammers, lathes and borers would be beneficial though not essential
