Junior Electrical Design Engineer

A leading electrical manufacturing company has an immediate requirement for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team at their Nottingham office.

Location:

Salary:

Circa £26,000 plus benefits

Role Overview:

Working within the technical department alongside mechanical designers and software engineers, you will take projects through hardware design phases, creating schematic drawings for control cabinets and distributed controls using EPLAN P8. DraftSight will be used for machine layouts.

This position requires several years of experience; it is not suitable for recent graduates. The ideal candidate is seeking a new challenge and a dedicated career path.

Requirements:

• HNC / D in Electrical Engineering or higher
• Excellent communication skills
• Location close to Nottingham
• Knowledge of IEC 81346 1,2
• Experience in designing LV electrical circuitry using electrical design software
• Ability to specify correct sizing of components and cables based on loads and duty
• Experience working with panel wiring departments on modifications and testing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of machinery standards, particularly ISO 13849-1:2015 & 2006/42/EC, 2014/35/EU
• Experience in safety system configuration up to PL’d’
