About the role

Are you an experienced Junior Designer looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting 12 month FTC available! As the Junior Designer and Brand Advocate you will be key to the creation and development of exciting, credible new ranges that will appeal to George customers that are aligned with seasonal trends and brand direction. You will be responsible to deliver stylishly designed products, ensuring quality, style and value is consistently delivered across our range. We'd ideally be looking for at least 3 years experience in garment design within the retail industry. As the Junior Designer you will be empowered to drive the research of new trends and market information, informing decision making and be responsible for product development, keeping the George customer at the heart of what we do.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Experience within either a retail or supply base design environment with a strong eye for trend, research and producing innovative designs in line with our customer needs and values.
• Experience in working with UK and overseas suppliers/factories to develop multi category product.
• A high knowledge of CAD software (including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator)
• An innovative approach and desire to drive a more digital way of working.
• A strategic mindset to contribute to key meetings, as well as a strong critical path understanding.

Hybrid working

To ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
