Interim Revenue Accountant – 6 Month Contract (Immediate Start)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exciting business experiencing continued growth across the UK and Europe. They are seeking an immediately available qualified Accountant to join on a 6-month interim contract to support their revenue recognition and reporting. This role will suit a proactive finance professional with strong technical skills who can quickly add value in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of revenue recognition for a portfolio of European product lines.

• Analyse revenue performance against budget and prior periods, liaising with key global stakeholders to ensure accuracy.

• Conduct month-end analysis on recognised revenues by customer, identifying and explaining variances to budget/forecast.

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Account Managers to monitor revenue performance and ensure project accuracy.

• Review customer contracts for revenue recognition and system set-up.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and reporting variances.

• Ensure compliance with internal financial reporting standards.

• Assist with Group and local statutory audits.

• Manage and support one junior Accountant.

Candidate Profile

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).

• Strong technical skills with experience in revenue recognition.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Confident communicator able to partner across finance and the wider business.

• Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.

• Available at short notice / immediately.
