Qualifications

• Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred).
• Extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
• Valid Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
• Work independently to maintain and repair vehicles and components.
• Carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
• Provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
• Carry out final checks on work that has been completed.

Skills

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

Experience in repairs and maintenance on trucks

Familiarisation with developments in the automotive industry

Education
