A prominent healthcare provider in City Of London is seeking a Receptionist for their Emergency Department. This role involves handling patient registrations, managing various enquiries, and ensuring efficient department operations. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, previous receptionist experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility for shift work is required, covering 24/7 operations. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a Major Trauma Centre.
The Emergency Department (ED) handles approximately 160,000 patients per year. The post holder will provide the first point of contact for members of the public attending the ED/EPCH. S/he will liaise with staff, answer enquiries, ensure the efficient registering and recording of patients’ attendances, the retrieval of patients’ hospital notes and/or ED/EPCH notes, and assist in the efficient and effective running of the department and the administrative processes. S/he will also have a key role in the administrative process of admitting patients to wards and Outpatient Clinic’s.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a London Major Trauma Centre in the Emergency Department (ED) reception team.
This role is for a Receptionist working 37.5 hrs per week with the need for flexibility to cover other shifts.
Please note that this role works in shift patterns, covering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays.
