A leading healthcare provider in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a dedicated Nurse Endoscopist to perform endoscopic procedures and support nurse-led clinics. This full-time role offers developmental potential from band 7 to band 8a and is part of an expanding JAG-accredited service. Candidates should possess relevant accreditation and experience. This full-time position is 37.5 hours per week with flexible working Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. Band 8a for a fully JAG accredited Nurse Endoscopist independent in colonoscopy. JAG accreditation in gastroscopy is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will carry out diagnostic and surveillance endoscopic procedures as well as cover nurse-led clinics. This post may be considered as a developmental post starting at band 7 with progression to band 8a once the necessary knowledge, skills and accreditation are obtained. The Endoscopy service in West Herts comprises six state-of-the-art Endoscopy rooms across two sites (Watford General Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital), both fully JAG accredited. We have a well-established team of Nurse Endoscopists who work closely with Gastroenterology Consultants and the wider MDT to deliver a range of services.
This role offers development potential, with progression from band 7 to band 8a once required knowledge, skills and accreditation are obtained. The service is expanding with a new hospital planned for Watford and theatre updates at St Albans City Hospital.
