Overview

Area Sales Engineer – East Midlands, M1 corridor (Luton to Nottingham).

  • Salary: £45,000 – £55,000

Client information: We are pleased to be representing a British manufacturer of process solutions with state of the art manufacturing in the UK. The company is a leading provider of steam solutions, including valves, steam traps, instrumentation, industrial boilers and condensate systems, offering turnkey solutions across process industries such as food & beverage, water, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and industrial markets. Training and development are strong within this organisation. The role supports a well-established UK team and develops an existing account base across the South of England.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, drive and deliver sales and profit growth across the assigned area
  • Engage with end users across varying industries (food, pharmaceuticals, universities, hospitals) and manage routes to market
  • Develop and support distribution partners and OEMs with a strong focus on solution selling
  • Operate within a compact region covering Nottingham, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Luton and parts of Peterborough
Experience / Qualifications
  • Track record of developing sales across industrial and process industries
  • Strong drive to succeed
  • Engineering or business qualification beneficial but not essential if relevant experience exists
  • Open to roles including sales engineers, sales managers, area managers, business development managers, key account managers, sales specialists and related disciplines
  • Prior experience of steam and process systems is not required due to comprehensive training; best-in-class training provided in the first years
  • Opportunity for progression into senior, projects, and strategic sales roles; international and leadership opportunities for successful candidates

This role is open to candidates with experience selling mechanical engineering products, knowledge of industrial customers in process/production, motivation to learn new products, and field or internal sales experience.
