RESPONSIBILITIES

As PRINCIPAL R&D PACKAGING SPECIALIST, your responsibilities include:

• Participating in beautiful packaging developments that preserve our planet’s resources. Collaborate on multiple projects, ranging from simple to complex, for leading brands. Design, develop, and implement solutions for primary and secondary packaging, from upstream phases, in partnership with Project Managers and Marketing, including creating visuals, renderings, and videos.
• Leverage strong technical experience to support new packaging conception and development, from design intent to in-market delivery, generating technical 2D/3D visuals, renderings, and videos.
• Build organizational capabilities and contribute to the strength of the Global Coty Packaging Development team.

Your main focus:

• Collaborate with the R&D Packaging Team on the design of makeup, skincare, and perfume packaging.
• Assist in creating technically and financially viable new packaging concepts, including 2D/3D modeling and dimensional tolerances.
• Support communication with Marketing and Fashion Houses through visuals, renderings, and videos based on 3D files.
• Manage and train the team on internal 3D printing capabilities for mockups for Marketing.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

You operate with discipline in a fast-moving environment, with high accountability and ownership. You are adaptable, willing to travel, and thrive in a diverse organization. Additionally, you:

• Have over 10 years of experience in technical packaging, ideally in the beauty or cosmetics industry.
• Proven track record in leading packaging conception and development from design to market.
• Skilled in creating visuals and videos from 3D files using Solidworks, Visualize, Blender, Keyshot, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Possess problem-solving skills and awareness of cosmetics packaging regulations.
• Capable of evaluating technical drawings for accuracy and fit, understanding blueprints and tolerances.
• Embrace continuous improvement and standardization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Hold a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Packaging, or related fields.
• Fluent in English and French at a near-native level.
