The Research Engineer will participate in a TOSCA/CNES project entitled TRISHNA-CLEC, focused on the study of the future TRISHNA sensor for ocean color observation.

Born from a French-Indian partnership, the TRISHNA mission will collect images of the Earth's surface in the solar and thermal infrared domains, with unprecedented spatial resolution and revisit frequency. The satellite launch is scheduled for 2026.

The Research Engineer will adapt and/or develop existing LOG (Laboratoire d'Océanographie et de Géosciences) models/algorithms to match TRISHNA's resolutions (atmospheric correction model, WiPE water mask, sun-glint correction, Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM) model).

The LOG (Laboratory of Oceanology and Geosciences) is a highly interdisciplinary research laboratory in oceanology and marine geosciences, where both fundamental and applied research is conducted based on the triptych: Observation — Experimentation — Modeling.

In oceanology, research focuses on marine ecology, biogeochemistry, and physical oceanography. The Research Engineer will be affiliated with Team 3 of the LOG: TELHYD (Remote Sensing and Hydrodynamics).

Knowledge and Skills:
Programming (MATLAB, Python, C)

Satellite remote sensing

Statistical analysis

Knowledge of marine or atmospheric optics

Proficiency in English (from B1-B2 to C1 level)

Ability to write reports or technical documentation

Proficiency with domain-specific software tools

Soft Skills:
Self-learning ability and interpersonal skills
