A leading medical technology company in Lyon is seeking an experienced Education Manager to develop and implement internal and external education programs. The candidate should have 8-10 years of experience in Medical or Internal Education, preferably in Med-tech or Pharma. This role requires fluency in English and excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on enhancing the learning experience across EMEA markets.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in Medical or Internal Education, preferably in Med-tech/Pharma.
  • Fluent English required.
  • 4 years in a People Management role is preferred.

Overview

The Education Manager, in alignment with brand/education strategy, builds internal and external learning strategy, training curriculum, and delivers/evaluates education programme effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Develops and executes education plan that is aligned with central European strategy in collaboration with all internal stakeholders including Brand managers and Sales leaders.

Follow up best-in-class learning trends and re-evaluate and continuously improve the learning experience.

Key Activities
  • Develop, continuously update and execute internal education programs such as internal courses, online educational platform tools, online courses, etc., and/or external education programs such as sawbones courses, cadaveric courses, online education, etc.
  • Develops new customer engagement programs and events supporting our strategic goals and marketing objectives.
  • Develop and deploy digital tools to facilitate learning.
  • Development of and ensuring up to date sales training curriculum and material.
  • Develop, schedule and communicate a calendar of internal and external education events.
  • Document and store internal training participant list for audit purposes.
  • Partner with surgeon KOLs to ensure high quality faculty at internal and external education activities.
  • Audit selling capability and knowledge base of sales channels regardless of experience and tenure within the company. Build a plan to close the gaps identified.
  • Allocate and manage the education budget in alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Ensures that educational activities across EMEA markets are coordinated and cohesive, helping to drive agreed goals and strategies.
  • May have responsibility for clinical research in collaboration with Brand Management.
  • 40% Business Travel.
Qualifications / Tenure

Required:

  • 8-10 years of Medical or Internal Education, with a significant portion within Med-tech / Pharma industry.
  • BSc degree in Education, Human Resources or relevant field.
  • Fluent English.

Preferred:

  • 4 years in a People Management role.
  • Certification in training.
Experience / Skills
  • Proven experience in Training coordination / Clinical Education Manager role.
  • Extensive knowledge of learning principles and modern training techniques.
  • Understanding of sales process, preferably within relevant medical business.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
