Mission Objectives
As part of the AMOA (Assistance to Project Ownership), the works supervisor will contribute to:
- Monitoring construction activities (deliveries, installations, assembly)
- Ensuring regulatory compliance
- Providing technical support and documentation
- Supervising electrical energization phases
- Supervising testing, commissioning, and handover to the operator
- Monitoring the closing of punch lists and outstanding items (réserves)
Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical power works, instrumentation, and control systems: cabling, switchboards, distribution panels, control cabinets, and HTB interfaces.
- Monitor the transition from installation to testing phases, ensuring proper readiness.
- Support assembly and testing teams during commissioning phases.
- Potentially supervise mechanical, electrical, and civil punch list closure activities.
Field Presence & Safety
- Maintain a continuous on-site presence, demonstrating a high level of commitment to safety and environmental protection in accordance with the company PEI rules.
- Verify the correct implementation of risk analyses and mitigation measures by contractors.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure activities are carried out according to approved procedures and work methods.
- Perform joint inspections at key hold points (DSI) including:
- control points
- witness points
- checkpoints and inspection records
- Ensure traceability through daily Surveillance Sheets (FS, FSS, FSE…).
- Collect technical information to support lot managers in punch list creation and resolution.
- Validate compliance with technical specifications, EDF standards, and applicable regulations.
Reporting & Communication
- Report daily to the Lot Manager on work progress, issues, deviations, and risks (Safety, Environment, Quality, Deadlines, Cost).
- Prepare documentation and contribute to the technical reporting required by the AMOA team.
- Assist in the elaboration of lessons learned (REX) after site visits and test phases.
Requirements
- Experience as works supervisor or construction supervisor in electrical, electromechanical, or instrumentation fields.
- Experience with large industrial plants (power plants, HT/BT systems, utilities, instrumentation).
- Strong field supervision skills with proven safety leadership.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple contractors, EPCs, and technical lots.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
