Strategic Account Manager – Paris
About the Role

We’re seeking a high‑performing Strategic Account Manager to drive Proofpoint’s growth within France’s most influential enterprises (CAC40). This role reports to the Sales Director of Strategic Accounts and is responsible for owning and growing a portfolio of CAC40 accounts, combining new business acquisition (main focus) with expansion of existing relationships. You’ll work closely with System Engineers, Channel Partners, and internal stakeholders to develop strategies that protect customers from advanced threats and enable long‑term success.

Your Day‑to‑Day
  • Develop and maintain executive‑level relationships within CAC40 organizations across multiple verticals.
  • Partner with System Engineers and Channel Partners to craft and execute account strategies.
  • Drive new business acquisition while expanding relationships with existing customers by introducing our full suite of security, compliance, and information protection solutions.
  • Deliver impactful presentations and product demonstrations in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Analyse and report on pipeline progression, forecast accuracy, and account performance.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end sales process, ensuring operational excellence and timely execution.
  • Maintain compliance with Proofpoint’s sales methodology and industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • Required:
    • Preferably bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • Proven success in enterprise technology sales, ideally with SaaS and cybersecurity solutions.
    • Track record of exceeding quotas, winning new logos, and leveraging channel partnerships.
    • Strong executive selling skills (CISO, CIO, CMO) and ability to influence complex buying cycles.
    • Experience closing deals in the €100K–€1M+ range.
    • Familiarity with formal sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger, TAS, Command of the Message).
    • Fluent in French and English.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience using Salesforce.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Growth mindset and openness to coaching.
    • Exceptional communication, relationship‑building, and problem‑solving skills.
    • Entrepreneurial approach with urgency and strategic thinking.
