Responsibilities for Roofer:

• Transport and load/unload roofing materials in truck
• Lay new asphalt roofing material - Inspect roofing for damage and perform any needed repairs
• Clean rooftops by removing leaves, ice and other debris - Install insulation materials underneath roofs
• Use hand tools such as hammers and electric staplers

Qualifications for Roofer:

• Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending and lifting heavy loads
• Previous experience in roofing, construction or related scope of work
• Communication and teamwork skills including an openness to receiving feedback from superiors
• Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work - Ability to read and follow instructions
• Endurance to spend hours working in extreme weather conditions such as heat or cold
• Able to commute to on-site jobs -
• Have successfully completed Working at Heights (WAH) training program approved by the Ministry of Labour's Chief Prevention Officer
