Overview

Main Functions

Reporting to the Category Manager, the Product Manager is responsible for managing the lifecycle of LSC's meat crop portfolio, from product design and development to market launch and post-launch monitoring. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and marketing.

PRODUCT DEFINITION AND LAUNCH
  • Contribute to the product development strategy in collaboration with the sales, R&D and production teams
  • Define product positioning (price, image, value proposition)
  • Define and supervise the creation of products and packaging with the production and quality teams
  • Document products and promote R&D data in sales and customer presentations
  • Define a communication plan and create marketing tools in conjunction with the Marketing Manager
SUPPORT TECHNIQUE CLIENT
  • Provide technical and scientific support to sales teams, and occasionally participate in customer visits
  • Train distributors on the meat crop portfolio and their applications
  • Identify customer needs / expectations and translate them into internal actions
  • Supervise and monitor customer trials with the sales team
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
  • Train sales teams on the meat crop portfolio and their applications
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and customer feedback in conjunction with sales teams
  • Monitor market trends and competing offerings to adapt product development strategy
  • Contribute to the definition of marketing actions in line with the business development strategy
  • Translate and adapt product materials according to markets, customer needs and geographical areas
  • Participate in conferences, seminars and trade fairs, and occasionally speak as a speaker
  • Write articles for industry trade magazines
RELATIONSHIP WITH INTERNAL R&D / EXTERNAL TECHNICAL INSTITUTES
  • Participate in the definition and prioritization of the R&D plan for the meat crop portfolio
  • Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of application tests in collaboration with the R&D team
  • Facilitate the creation of product documentation by transforming R&D data into customer / user-oriented messages
  • Act as a liaison between customers, sales teams and R&D to respond to technical requests

Participation in the establishment and monitoring of the budget and profitability of the meat product category.

  • Fluency in English (oral and written)
