What you’ll do

Reporting to the VP of Operations (located remote), the Plant Supervisor will be responsible for all functions at our industrial food waste processing facility in Macon, GA. Key responsibilities for this position include maintaining a productive culture based on respect, managing accountability to standard work processes, and effective communication within the facility and the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of operations to ensure a safe working environment and properly trained individuals in all aspects of safety compliance.
  • As the operations leader, directly manage, hire and train Operators and Maintenance personnel.
  • Oversee maintenance and reliability of machinery to ensure operational efficiencies and uptime.
  • Function as a hands-on leader, stepping in to help the team as needed in order to maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Develop, implement and report against financial and non-financial objectives, including the annual budget, financial forecasts, operational goals, key performance indicators and operating plans.
  • Inspect all phases (mechanical, chemical, electrical) of plant operations and initiate remedial actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and reliability to ensure plant goals are met.
  • Monitor compliance with Company policies, Customer Agreements, quality specifications, sanitation practices, regulatory requirements, third party contracts and safety standards.
  • Must maintain the ability to:
  • Effectively communicate all significant actions and issues to Company management in a timely fashion
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
What we’re looking for
  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years in an operations management role with hiring and people management required
  • Proven track record of leading production/processing systems
  • Possess the ability to work with ambiguity by asking thoughtful questions that provide data that is then analyzed and synthesized to make balanced assessments and smart decisions
