Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in line management, demonstrating leadership and team coordination capabilities.
  • Proven experience in effective ISO 17025 quality management in laboratory environments.
  • Practical experience in managing laboratory safety procedures.

Responsabilités

  • Lead the MGS Regional Lab Quality Management System to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Continuously improve the Quality system and ensure proficiency testing participation.
  • Train Regional Lab Associates on the Quality Management System.

Connaissances

Knowledge of laboratory service delivery

Laboratory Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Lead is a pivotal role in driving scientific integrity and ensuring Lab efficiency, while contributing to the well‑being of pets everywhere. This role involves leading a team while implementing continuous improvement to meet strategic objectives.

What profile are we looking for?
Education And Experience
  • Master’s degree level qualification in a relevant scientific or technical discipline.
  • Recognized Quality certification specifically related to laboratory quality management.
  • Proven experience in developing, deploying, or implementing effective ISO 17025 quality management systems within laboratory environments.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in line management, demonstrating leadership and team coordination capabilities.
  • Practical experience in implementing or managing laboratory safety procedures and standards.
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of core processes involved in laboratory service delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English and French.
  • Good working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision‑making skills.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Regional Laboratory Quality, Health, and Environment Management System
  • Develop and deploy the MGS Regional Lab Quality Management system (QMS) to ensure conformance to the Mars Quality Policy, Quality Management Process (QMP), Mars Quality Laboratory Standard (QLS) and ISO 17025.
  • Operate, maintain and continuously improve the Quality system in line with changing needs.
  • Ensure lab metrology, including proficiency testing program participation of the lab.
  • Lead documentation review for the lab.
  • Lead internal audit process for the lab.
  • Lead integrated Quality, Health and Environment management review for the RCA Regional Laboratory management team.
  • Obtain and maintain ISO 17025 accreditation of the RCA lab according to Mars compliance roadmap.
  • Train the Regional Lab Associates to the QMS of the lab.
  • Ensure Health & Safety (H&S) compliance against Mars Safety Standards and local/MGS labs H&S program.
Lab efficiency
  • Ensure implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of test methods, ensuring accurate results and adherence to quality standards. Provide expert technical support, training, and mentoring to laboratory analysts.
  • Ensure efficiency and LEAN culture in the lab by optimizing processes.
People Leadership

Responsible for driving Associates engagement and professional development of direct reports.
