Description du poste

Under the hierarchical responsibility of the Framatome Site Manager and the functional responsibility of the IBC Home Office Senior manager, the Installation Manager is responsible for executing site works associated with the EM2 package within the contractual context of the HPC construction site:

  • Package EM2.1 "Installation of main primary system components"
  • Package EM2.2 "Installation of reactor equipment"
  • Package EM11.2 "Assistance to commissioning"

This must be done in compliance with safety, security rules, quality standards, and project schedule applicable on site, as well as local labor regulations.

The Installation Manager is supported by all EM2 project and installation sections and is the main on-site contact managing interfaces with PCM manager, PCM site staff, project department, erection engineering teams, other site erection units, QA, H&S, customer supervision, local administration, and safety authorities.

Description of duties:

  • Direct and coordinate team activities to perform scope of works.
  • Establish and manage an efficient organization capable of conducting the works.
  • Serve as the main contact for project team, engineering departments, customer, and local authorities regarding EM2 works.
  • Ensure schedule feasibility with available resources.
  • Take measures to complete works on time and meet quality standards.
  • Anticipate manpower needs based on site bar-chart.
  • Propose early completion strategies or rescheduling as needed.
  • Follow up on non-conformance reports and observation sheets.
  • Chair internal coordination, progress, quality, and budget meetings.
  • Report weekly on EM2 activities to project and site managers.
  • Monitor progress of additional or contingency works, update forecasts, manage project closeout, cash flow, and contracts with support from Project & Cost Control and administration sections.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, administrative, and H&S rules, implementing a monitoring system.
  • Integrate personnel on site and inform all involved of site operations and local rules.
  • Validate personnel timekeeping records before data entry into the management system.
  • Assess personnel skills, identify promising individuals, and facilitate skills transfer for future projects.
Desired profile

Educational Basics:

Qualified general engineer with extensive experience in new works, large-scale maintenance, large component replacement (RPVH, SG, etc.), and managing projects abroad.

Professional Basics:

Ability to manage a team of over 100 people, including expatriates and local personnel, as well as subcontractors, in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural environment.

Experience in managing erection sites, including organizational setup, budgeting, and subcontract management.

Knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical assembly and welding.

Strong communication skills, both internally and externally, with well-developed didactic abilities.

Excellent organizational and methodological skills.

Ability to build quality relationships with internal units, customers, subcontractors, and local service providers.
