Biomemory is a worldwide pioneer in the DNA Data Storage market.
We are a well‑funded start‑up building IT rackable equipment for Data Centers , using synthetic DNA as the storage media.
While this technology is still at its infancy, these DNA Data Storage Servers target the storage of massive amounts of data (Exabytes) with a very long retention life‑time (100 years) within an attractive capex and opex budget.
Headquartered in Paris, Biomemory aims at serving the fast‑growing international “cold storage” market.
We are seeking a Hardware Director to lead and expand the team responsible for developing the hardware modules at the core of Biomemory’s data‑storage system. As a key member of the System Engineering organization, you will drive the technical vision, ensure robust execution, and foster strong collaboration across engineering disciplines.
You will work closely with the Software Director and the System Integration & Validation Team Leader to deliver a cohesive, high‑performance system architecture and advance Biomemory’s next‑generation hardware platform.
The position is onsite, based at our office located at 5 Impasse Reille in Paris (14 th arrondissement).The workspace combines modern classic offices with advanced laboratory rooms, designed to foster collaboration between computer scientists and biologists. This setup supports our mission to tackle the challenges of DNA synthesis and writing, encouraging interdisciplinary teamwork and innovation.
In 2026, our offices will relocate to a new headquarters in the center of Paris (near Notre-Dame Cathedral). This state‑of‑the‑art facility, under construction, will offer an inspiring and accessible setting, to host our growing team.
