A leading energy company is seeking a Cargo Supervisor to manage the maintenance of deck and cargo systems, ensuring compliance with international rules and safe practices. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of operational handling of cargo and experience in supervising teams. This position includes a rotating schedule of 5 weeks ON in Central Africa followed by 5 weeks OFF, providing a unique work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cargo transfer and handling procedures.
  • Experience in maintenance of deck and cargo equipment.
  • Ability to supervise a team effectively.

Responsabilités

  • Manage maintenance of deck and cargo equipment.
  • Oversee loading and offloading programs.
  • Prepare and follow up on cargo system maintenance.

Connaissances

Knowledge of class and international rules
Operational control of trim, stability and stress
Operational handling of cargo systems
Knowledge of F(P)SO construction
Monitor and control safe practices

Formation

Basic safety training
Advanced fire fighting training
Survival craft training
Oil tanker training program qualification (STCW A-V 1-1-2)

Description du poste

We are looking for a Cargo supervisor, on a rotating schedule (5 weeks ON in Central Africa - 5 weeks OFF).

Mission
  • In charge of maintenance of deck and cargo associated equipments, including structure
  • Loading and offloading program under OTS supervision
  • In charge of order request and follow up for deck and cargo system
  • In charge of inspection and maintenance reports for all deck and cargo system
  • Supervision of cargo team (pumpmen) :

Cargo system routine maintenance preparation and follow up

Cargo transfer and handling procedure and follow up

Competency
  • Knowledge of class and international and rules applicable to F(P)SO
  • Operational control of trim, stability and stress, including in case of structural damage
  • Operational handling of cargo (Inert gas system, venting system, cargo pump…)
  • Knowledge of F(P)SO construction, inspection and reporting of structural defects
  • Monitor and control safe practices
  • Knowledge of interrelationship between marine operation and specific production activities.
  • Basic safety training
  • Advanced fire fighting training
  • Survival craft training
  • Oil tanker training program qualification (STCW A-V 1-1-2)
  • First aid training.
