AREA SALES MANAGER – FRANCE NORTH-EAST

The ideal candidate is a sales professional with solid experience in the food industry, strong relationship-building skills and a genuine commercial drive. The person will manage and develop the North-East France area, working with existing customers and opening new accounts in the ho.re.ca, retail and distribution channels. The role requires an autonomous, proactive and results-oriented profile, ready to represent a premium Italian brand on the French market and to collaborate closely with the HQ Export team in Italy.

The resource will be responsible for :
  • Managing and developing the portfolio of existing customers in the North-East area (ho.re.ca, retail, distributors).
  • Identifying and acquiring new clients and business opportunities, with structured business development activities on the territory.
  • Visiting customers on a regular basis, presenting products, conducting negotiations and closing commercial agreements.
  • Monitoring the market, competitors and trends in the food sector and proposing actions to increase market share.
  • Collaborating closely with the Export Sales Manager based in Italy and with the French branch (Marketing & back-office) for offers, promotions and customer service.
  • Preparing periodic reports on sales performance, pipeline and activities on the field.
Key Requirements :
  • French speaker, resident in France (preferably in the North-East area or available to travel frequently in this zone).
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in sales roles in the food sector (ho.re.ca, retail and/or distribution).
  • Proven track record in managing a sales territory and in developing new business.
  • Very good knowledge of English; good knowledge of Italian is a strong plus to interact with HQ and the Export Manager.
  • High availability to travel and to work in an itinerant role, with frequent visits to clients and prospects in the North-East area.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills, with a hands‑on, goal‑oriented attitude.
