Yanmar Europe is looking for an Account Representative to join our Industrial Business Unit and help us strengthen our market presence across Europe. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting our distributor network. You will serve as the key point of contact for both new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and alignment with our strategic sales objectives.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team that works closely with engineering, marketing, and after-sales to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers. This is a role for a proactive, commercially minded individual with strong communication skills and a results-oriented mindset.

Tasks

Sales Policy

  • Contributes to the Regional Sales Manager in executing sales programs to meet defined targets.
  • Provide input on sales strategies and activities based on local market knowledge and insights.
  • Collects and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data related to the assigned sales area.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitive activity to identify opportunities.
  • Tracks pricing and product performance; proposes adjustment to product offerings and logistics when needed.
  • Manage sales forecast and identify deviations for assigned product or sales areas.
  • Cooperates with the distributor sales team in accordance with the defined roles.

Sales & New Business Development

  • Identify and close new business opportunities within the assigned country.
  • Builds and maintains a network of (new) customers in the region.
  • Manage customer accounts to secure repeat business and long-term relationships
  • Develop customer opportunities into concrete customer orders with internal departments.
  • Prepare and support feasible and profitable proposals in line with defined gross margin targets.

Connecting Skills & Relationship Management

  • Foster trust and alignment between sales, engineering and after-sales functions.
  • Represents the company at relevant trade shows, exhibitions and business events.
  • Maintains professional relationships with clients and partners to strengthen cooperation.
  • Acts as a point of contact to resolve customer issues and ensure high service levels and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally with a technical background.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the components or industrial equipment industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – you know how to build trust and maintain long term relationships.
  • Fluent in English and the local language; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a multicultural, international environment.
