Overview

As a 5G RAN Software Engineer, your role will BE to take charge of the software design up to the validation of hardware on 5G solutions and participate in reaching Telecommunication products in the end. Within a team composed of 10, your missions will BE as follows :

Responsibilities

• Develop Radio Software: Develop and maintain software, including low-level drivers, interfaces (like SPI), and communication protocols between the baseband processing unit and the Greenerwave Antenna control unit.
• RIS & O-RAN Integration: Design and implement RIS network core software and other RAN components within O-RAN. This includes extending existing software (like OpenAirInterface) for new features (e.g., beamforming) and ensuring its interoperability with hardware.
• Test & Automate: Write scripts to automate testing and validation of the radio software and RIS features in both simulated and real-world environments.
• Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with hardware developers, researchers, and other teams to align software with project goals, ensure system integrity (timing, synchronization), and contribute to future 5G advancements.
• Support Development: Build and maintain internal tools, scripts, and documentation to support efficient workflows.
• Continuous Support: BE proactive in finding new innovative ideas for future evolution of beyond-5

Qualifications

• Graduated from an engineering school (Bac +5, university equivalent) or had a PhD, you are specialized in Software Engineering, Embedded System or Telecommunication.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in 5G Software engineering within environments compliant with 3GPP standards.
• You already work on the full software development lifecycle, from design, to implementation and testing, including communication protocols (5G NR).
• PROFESSIONAL SKILLS: Solid understanding of wireless communication principles and RAN architectures, Proficient with C / C++ language and Python / Bash, Knowledge of Linux or FreeRTos environment, Knowledge of hardware components, real-time constraints, 5G NR protocol, Knowledge of 3GPP standards, Knowledge of OAI or similar open-source RAN software is appreciated, Understanding Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) is a plus, Good level of English (oral and written).
