Description
Bumble is seeking a flexible, culture-centric, curious, and proactive Associate People & Culture Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing team. The focus will be on partnering with our Finance and Legal teams. Based in the US, you will collaborate closely with a team of People & Culture Business Partners and cross-functional specialists, enjoying a high level of autonomy to address day-to-day organizational challenges with people-related solutions. You will work directly with employees and managers to advise, challenge, and support them as our business evolves.
Bumble is experiencing rapid growth, so the ideal candidate should be adaptable and open to an evolving scope of work, with experience in managing international employment across multiple jurisdictions.
This role reports to the Director, People & Culture Business Partner, based in New York.
What you'll be doing
- Providing daily support to Finance and Legal teams, including answering questions about policies, employee cases, compensation discussions, talent development, and performance management guidance.
- Offering coaching and guidance to employees and managers.
- Engaging in strategic people-related projects such as team structure, engagement, retention, culture, and change management.
- Collaborating with the Compensation & Benefits team to develop compensation philosophies and reward mechanisms, advising leaders on compensation decisions.
- Supporting performance management processes, including designing workflows for tools like Workday.
- Partnering on the design, implementation, and management of people processes and systems to foster a strong organizational culture.
- Advising on staffing strategies and hiring decisions, supporting talent and succession planning.
- Managing complex Employee Relations cases across multiple countries, including the UK, US, and Spain.
About you
- Experience working closely with Finance, Accounting, or Legal functions in startup or scale-up environments; larger organization experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations and employment laws, with international experience being advantageous.
- Ability to independently manage and resolve complex Employee Relations cases.
- Experience working with business leaders as a strategic partner, influencing and challenging when necessary.
- Proficiency with data analysis and spreadsheets (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
- Workday experience is a bonus.

- Generalist or People Operations experience preferred.
Salary range: $89,000 - $120,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, and Unlimited Paid Time Off.
