You will lead Getnet’s global data strategy, driving the transformation of our data ecosystem into a best-in-class, scalable, secure, and business-centric model. This role is critical to enabling the next generation of payments, risk management, digital products, AI and analytics capabilities across multiple geographies.

The CDO will be responsible for

Data strategy, governance, architecture, quality, semantics, AI / ML enablement and compliance.

This leader will define and execute a unified global data vision that accelerates value creation, improves reliability, and empowers the organisation with high-quality, interoperable, and trusted data.

We are seeking a transformational leader with proven experience modernizing data ecosystems at scale, strong architectural capabilities, deep understanding of ontology and semantic modelling, and solid domain expertise in payments.

You will work with global and local teams to deploy a federated governance framework, harmonize data structures across markets and ensure compliance with multi-country regulations. This role requires strong collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Information Security and country teams across all geographies.

Data Strategy & Transformation

Define and execute the global data transformation strategy, aligning with business and technology roadmaps and lead the modernization of Getnet’s data platform, including ingestion pipelines, governance, data mesh / data fabric capabilities, and advanced analytics foundations.

Data Model & Ontology

Lead the creation of a robust Global Data model creating a common ontology and semantic layer, enabling consistent definitions, metadata, lineage, and cross-market harmonization, ensuring that all analytical and operational systems adhere to strong architectural and integration standards.

Define, maintain and govern the Global Data Model, ensuring that core business entities, attributes and definitions are harmonized across all countries and platforms. All new data initiatives must adhere to the Global Data Model to safeguard coherence and long-term data integrity.

Global Data Governance Framework:

Lead the development and implementation of Getnet’s global data governance framework, defining corporate data standards, taxonomies and a unified semantic model. This includes establishing norms and guidelines for data processes across the organization, deploying a federated governance structure that guides and supports countries in aligning their data practices to global policies, and ensuring consistent adoption of documentation, controls and governance routines across all markets.

Global Data Quality:

Define and oversee global data quality standards, including indicators of completeness, consistency and integrity. This includes monitoring routines across markets, reviewing deviations and collaborating with local teams to implement corrective actions. The CDO drives continuous improvement practices to ensure that data quality supports business, technology and AI requirements at scale.

Enable Strategic Value of Data for Products, Business, Finance …

Provide data capabilities, tools, and standards to empower product, tech, and business teams, enabling self-service analytics and streamlined access to high-quality datasets. Ensure that data initiatives translate directly into improvements in customer experience, revenue growth, operational efficiency, and risk reduction.

Establish global guidelines for the design and maintenance of Data Assets, Data Marts and analytical structures, defining modelling and semantic standards, naming conventions, documentation requirements and minimum quality criteria.

Regulatory and Compliance Alignment:

Ensure compliance with data protection and sector-specific regulations across all Getnet geographies, including GDPR, LGPD, Ley 25.326, LFPDPPP and others applicable in each market. This responsibility requires strong collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Information Security and local privacy representatives to guarantee that global policies are correctly applied at regional level, regulatory changes are incorporated into standards and data protection practices remain aligned with organizational expectations and external requirements.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as the executive voice for data across all countries and business lines building and leading a high-performing global data organization, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and innovation. Strong business-oriented mindset with proven ability to translate data governance into measurable business value and operational impact.

Key Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality or Data Architecture (preferably in payments, fintech or financial services).
  • Proven track record of large-scale data ecosystem transformation in highly regulated or high-transaction environments (payments, banking, fintech, telecom, etc.).
  • Expertise in defining ontologies, semantic models, metadata frameworks, and common data layers.
  • Strong architectural background covering data modeling, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and integration patterns.
  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including acquiring, fraud / risk, KYC, onboarding, and transaction flows.
  • Experience leading multi-country / global teams.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience with AI / ML platforms, real-time analytics, and data mesh / data fabric architectures.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, PCI DSS, local data residency laws).
