An international conservation organization is seeking a Finance and Administration Officer based in Malaga, Spain. The role involves ensuring financial management and compliance with Tunisian regulations. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience. The IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation (IUCN-Med) is establishing a project office in Tunisia to strengthen the implementation of its North Africa programmes, including PPI-OSCAN and TransCap, as well as other initiatives focused on biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and civil society support. The preparatory assessment for opening the office indicates that Tunisia represents a strategic hub for coordinating activities in Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Algeria, and Egypt, while improving operational efficiency.
The Finance and Administration Officer (P1) is expected to comply with the IUCN Delegation of Authority (DoA) in effect at any given time, as well as with any related sub-delegations. Such compliance must be exercised diligently and in accordance with the letter, spirit and purpose of the DoA.
Under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Finance, IUCN-Med, the Finance & Administration Officer will ensure that all financial tasks related to the Mubadarat programme are carried out in full alignment with IUCN and donor’s standards, procedures and approvals.
