Nabu Casa is the organisation behind Home Assistant, the world’s largest free and open-source smart home platform used by over two million households. We were founded to ensure the project’s sustainability and, in 2024, partnered with the Open Home Foundation to protect and promote a wide range of open-source initiatives. We are a profitable company with no external investors. Our funding comes directly from users who subscribe to Home Assistant Cloud and purchase Home Assistant hardware, ensuring our only stakeholders are our employees and our users. We also support other open-source projects including those focused on hardware standards and voice technology.

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Product Manager based in Europe to lead the strategy for our Cloud and Customer Support products. This role offers a unique opportunity to define the future of these critical areas, working with our teams and aligning our efforts with the global open-source community.

• Identify and execute a product strategy for the future of our Cloud and CS products from ideation to delivery, together with engineers, program managers and leadership at Nabu Casa and the Open Home Foundation.
• Join the day-to-day product development operation, participating actively in anything required to complete the job.
• Collaborate with our internal teams to ensure delivery and alignment.
• Collaborate with our partner, the Open Home Foundation, ensuring alignment and the best integration possible between our products and their technologies.
• Help shape our product roadmap and work with the teams to involve our worldwide community in shaping Nabu Casa products from discovery to delivery.

• 5 years of experience driving and shaping strategy and vision for a product delivering value to users as a product manager.
• Experience in delivering products in the B2C space.
• Meaningful experience with complete autonomy and iterative development / releasing.
• Proficiency in working in multi-disciplinary teams (UX designers, researchers, marketing and engineers).
• Proficiency in communication, being able to adapt the message to the audience.
• Comfort with public speaking during workshops, meetups, livestreams, etc.
• Professional fluency in English: excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• European residency: You must be currently based and eligible to work within Europe.

• Nabu Casa is a fully remote organization that uses Remote to employ people from all over the world. You will be a normal salaried employee in your country.
• This is a full-time position for 40 hours per week. Because we are a fully remote company there is no fixed schedule. For team communication we aim for at least 3 hours of overlap in the workday. You will report to our Technical Program Manager based in the UK.
• Core to the establishment of Nabu Casa was the well-being of the people building the future of the smart home. We provide all the benefits required by the country you reside in, plus a minimum set of benefits for all employees.
• Five weeks (twenty-five days) of paid time off.
• Fourteen days of paid sick leave if your country laws treat them as paid.
• Six weeks of paid and six weeks of unpaid parental leave in the first year after birth. We provide missing days if your country laws do not provide such compensation.
• A budget for your work hardware; after three years you may keep this equipment for personal use.
• An annual smart home budget to stay up-to-date with the latest smart home offers.
• A 50% contribution to your internet connection fee at your home workspace.
• One day every two weeks to work on your personal projects. If you are currently working on Home Assistant-related side projects you can spend work time maintaining them.
• Compensation guidance: for a Senior Product Manager in our primary operating countries, approximate yearly compensation will be provided; figures may be adjusted based on experience and location.
