WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to co-lead our OOH and Foodservice channel in Spain. This role will be responsible for driving distribution and sales with enthusiasm and passion for Oatly’s purpose, mission, and values. Reporting to the Food Service Manager, the role involves creating the Oatly experience in Madrid, driving sales, building market share, increasing brand awareness, and establishing long-term relationships with key customers within the foodservice and OOH channels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Out-of-Home (OOH) channel.
  • Strengthen and grow existing key client relationships to maximize their potential.
  • Build long-term partnerships with strategic key accounts and drive brand visibility through full activation at points of sale.
  • Support and collaborate with distributors via training, field visits, and joint prospecting.
  • Address distribution gaps by onboarding new partners and developing strategic collaborations.
  • Monitor distributor performance and implement tailored action plans.
  • Track key metrics such as revenue, margins, and volumes.
  • Share market insights and competitive intelligence; report activities in CRM.
  • Contribute to regional commercial strategy and support the team during events and ad hoc initiatives.

This position reports to the Food Service Manager and is based in Madrid, Spain.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING

We’re looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in business development, ideally within the food industry or HoReCa sector. You should be creative, resilient, purpose-driven, passionate about people, and committed to sustainability.

Additional key skills and experience:

  • Strong hunting, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to understand and analyze sales and market data.
  • Good knowledge of the local economic landscape.
  • Proficient with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license – travel required.
