Job Description

Leading company in the energy sector is seeking an Electrical Engineer who specializes in Motors and Generators to join the company's Consulting Services Department (CSD), Electrical Engineering Division (EED).

EED is responsible for providing technical support in the development of new processes, equipment, or techniques, facility designs, and solutions to unusual operating and maintenance problems.

As an Electrical Engineer, your primary role is to initiate or conduct special studies for improving facilities or operations, provide specialized technical service in recognized engineering fields, and act as a consultant on complex engineering issues and designs related to rotating electrical machines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide general engineering consultations in the area of Motors & Generators to field operations such as refineries, gas plants, and terminals, as needed.
2. Write company procedures and best practices in the area of expertise.
3. Provide consultation and reviews for capital project developments, reviewing engineering design packages. Attend project review meetings in or out of the Kingdom, as needed.
4. Introduce new technology that would boost company profitability and productivity.
5. Represent the company in dealings with vendors, manufacturers, and/or design firms where expert engineering advice in his expertise is required.
6. Conduct peer reviews of technical reports and review the work of third-party project designs, technology reports, and engineering standards.
7. Share knowledge and experience with, as well as mentor, junior and developing engineers within the company.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. MS or other advanced professional engineering degree is highly desirable. Professional Engineer (PE) license or registration is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 20 years of professional experience, including years as an engineer responsible for technical work in his field of specialty, which includes experience in sizing, construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting of high voltage electrical machines, in addition to factory acceptance testing.
