About the opportunity :

We are hiring a Senior Business and Regulatory Data Analyst to join the EU Markets team. You will collaborate with the Strategy & Operations and Reporting teams.

You will support developing actionable analyses for growth and efficiency in European markets and create data models for reporting to Regulators and Authorities. You will liaise with main suppliers to structure reporting flows and contribute to a vital bank function.

This role offers the chance to work with an international team of data analysts and regulatory officers across different markets, providing a platform to contribute to data and business foundations.

In this role you will :

• Match regulatory requirements to data in our DWH
• Build and automate data models for regulatory reporting
• Perform data profiling, identify and request missing data
• Investigate data quality issues
• Define, build, and maintain data processes for stakeholders
• Coordinate with external data and tech providers
• Automate processes where possible and learn about regulator report principles
• Maintain thorough documentation of your work
• Conduct analyses to generate insights for business growth and operational excellence

What you need to be successful :

Background

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with data
• Fluent in English plus Italian or Spanish

Skills

• Advanced SQL skills: proficiency in querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning
• Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, CTEs, window functions
• Strong understanding of database normalization, indexing, and query optimization
• Knowledge of DBT (optional but beneficial): building, testing, and documenting data models
• Optional programming skills in Python for data workflows
• Experience with Git for version control
• Proactive and hands-on approach
