Formación

Overview

Job Title — Software Technical Writer

The Technical Writer will play a critical role within AirOps Operations by being responsible for the creation, review and ongoing maintenance of technical and functional documentation used by the organization, including but not limited to process flows, user guides, operational guides, UAT test scripts and exit criteria, and release notes. Technical Writer supports our growing product development, by being responsible for the creation, writing and reviewing of our technical documentation, including how-to guides, installation guides, maintenance guides, operation and user guides, code references and API references.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the R&D teams and be responsible for all the product code documentation.
  • Proofread and edit documentation to ensure consistency of language and style, as well as correct application of document templates.
  • Provide input on documentation design, templates and implementation.
  • Understand complex technical concepts and translate them into effective, logical and user-friendly documentation using accessible language for a non-technical audience when needed.
  • Continuously search for ways to improve the functioning of the Operations Department and gather feedback from users to improve the quality of the documentation.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to automate and/or simplify the technical writing methodology.
Qualifications
  • Ability to write documentation to different audiences - users, operators, technicians.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable and clear manner.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality documentation with attention to detail.
  • Team spirit; ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (C2 level); understand the differences between British and American English.
  • Ability to write documentation for different audiences - system administrators, developers.
  • Experience in writing code documentation - code reference guides and software architecture documents.
  • Experience in reading source code.
  • Knowledge of software system architecture.
Desirable
  • Dita knowledge.
  • Image editing software.
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL Server), security, communication protocols, networks, etc.
