Overview

Senior Data Scientist (LLMs) – Freelance (Pharma industry). The role is to join a client team in the pharmaceutical industry on a full-time freelance basis, contributing to projects that apply advanced machine learning and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Responsibilities

• Develop, fine-tune, and deploy LLM-based solutions.
• Work hands-on with Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Design experiments and evaluation frameworks for generative AI systems.
• Ensure high-quality data processing and scalable pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in the client’s team to deliver production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Scientist, with a focus on LLMs, NLP, and generative AI.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, LangChain, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with model development, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Ability to work independently and manage end-to-end delivery.
• Background in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector is a plus, but not mandatory.

Contract Details

• Location: Barcelona (remote work possible).
• Contract: Freelance, full-time until the end of the year, with potential extension.
