Our client, one of the main leaders in the beauty and fashion industry, is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical General Accountant to join their Global Financial Services team based in Barcelona for the Spanish market. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, providing financial services to subsidiaries worldwide.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in executing, supporting, and supervising core financial operations, including general ledger management, journal entry processing, and monthly tax declarations, while ensuring compliance with international standards.

Main Responsibilities :
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and deadlines
- Prepare and submit accurate financial reports and oversee intercompany reconciliations
- Ensure balance sheet integrity and alignment with group and statutory accounting standards
- Lead cash flow forecasting and analyze variances to support liquidity planning
- Oversee tax compliance, reporting, and proper tax accounting
- Coordinate audits and ensure statutory reporting in line with local regulations, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Core Skills / experience :
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a shared services environment with multi-currency postings and large intercompany reconciliations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, analytical skills, and autonomy, with experience managing international stakeholders.
- Expertise in SAP and MS Office tools.
- Adaptability to change and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
