We’re seeking a talented and passionate UI Game Artist to join our remote team and help develop our new tile puzzle game, currently in the prototyping phase. You will leverage your artistic skills and creativity to craft a visually stunning experience, focusing on clear, polished UI design and engaging game art for core gameplay, in-game events, and meta-game elements.

1. Be the sole UI artist within a small, agile team, owning all related work.
2. Design and create visually appealing and user-friendly UI components for core gameplay, including puzzle elements, boosters, blockers, and other UI components for in-game and meta-game features.
3. Collaborate closely with game designers and developers to ensure seamless integration of visual elements.
4. Maintain consistency in visual style, ensuring assets are polished and aligned with the overall aesthetic.
5. Optimize assets for performance without sacrificing visual quality.
6. Provide creative solutions to design challenges and iterate based on team feedback.

• Proven experience as a Game Artist, with a focus on casual (preferably puzzle) games, including at least one shipped game and 3+ years of experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating skills in creating game assets, especially puzzle game elements, boosters, blockers, and UI components.
• Proficiency in digital painting and illustration software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.
• Solid understanding of color theory, composition, and visual communication.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to accept direction and constructive feedback.
• Passion for casual games with a keen eye for engaging visual design.
• Experience with 2D animation software like Spine or similar.
• Proficiency in Unity.
