Scientific / postdoctoral posts
Join our team as a dedicated scientist and contribute to our exciting research projects. Our work focuses on models and algorithms for supervised and unsupervised learning. We devise deep learning models, which find application in image-based science, including in collaboration with domain scientists on and off campus in fields such as remote sensing, microscopy of cell colonies, plant sciences, healthcare, and MRI imaging. Our mission is not only to create accurate solutions but also to quantify model uncertainties, analyze robustness, reliability, and trustworthiness of AI models, and develop methods for explainability of AI solutions.
As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to develop novel learning methods, investigate the application and adaptation of foundation models, devise efficient training schemes for large models on high‑performance computers like JUWELS and JUPITER at the Jülich Supercomputing Center. If you’re passionate about AI research and eager to make a real‑world impact, we want to hear from you!
We work on the very latest issues that impact our research field and society, and offer the chance to help shape their future! We support you with:
