- Start date: 01.01.2026
- Position: Fulltime
- Salary: Remuneration level 13 TV‑L or salary grade A13 LBesG NRW
- Contract: Fixed‑term with option to extend (up to 3 years, in accordance with WissZeitVG and civil servant regulations)
Key Responsibilities (approx. % of time):
- Independent research in international politics, particularly in the history and sociology of world politics; conceptualizing and developing individual and collective research projects (65 %)
- Teaching in political science (4 teaching hours per semester) and supervision of students (25 %)
- Participation in the organization of study programmes and academic governance (10 %)

Your profile:
- Completed university degree (Master’s or Diploma) in political science, preferably International Relations
- Doctorate/PhD in political science, preferably on International Relations
- Expertise and publications in history and/or sociology of world politics
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Independent, self‑responsible and engaged work style
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills
- Strong team spirit and ability to work collaboratively
