Community Connection – Volunteer Driver

Bridgeway Family Homes is an exceptional and caring community providing specialized family-based, child-focused foster care.

Our Transportation Service was established to support families and caregivers in transporting children, youth, and adults to visits, respite, school, and medical appointments.

We seek professional Volunteer Drivers who are equipped, skilled, dependable, and reliable. As a Volunteer Driver, you will provide a valuable service where communication is key to the success of the Transportation Service.

Requirements for This Role

• Current Broad Record Check (from local Police).
• Current Child Welfare Record Check (from local Children’s Aid Society).
• Driver’s Abstract showing Class “G” Driver’s License.
• Vehicle with $2 million liability insurance.
• Vehicle insured and in good working condition.
• Willing to complete local and non-local drives.
• Internet access with a personal email and computer.
• Cell phone.

Infant / child car seats are provided.

Kilometer reimbursement is at $0.45 per km for distance traveled from your home, completing the drive, and returning home.

Volunteers play a vital role in serving our community.
