- Must be a current CIPS Certified Member or an active CIPS Member for at least the past two years.

- Promote CIPS sponsorship opportunities to companies across Canada.
- Communicate sponsorship benefits and connect organizations with the Chief Marketing Officer.
- Participate in a 1-hour monthly Volunteer Committee meeting.

The CIPS National Sponsorship Outreach Volunteer supports the growth of CIPS by promoting sponsorship opportunities to companies across Canada and connecting interested organizations with the CIPS National Chief Marketing Officer.
- Reach out to companies to introduce CIPS Sponsorship opportunities.
- Communicate sponsorship benefits including recognition, brand exposure, and alignment with the IT profession nationwide.
- Support inquiries and referrals by connecting interested organizations with the CIPS National Chief Marketing Officer for sponsorship discussions.
- Participate in a 1-hour monthly CIPS National Volunteer Committee meeting to coordinate activity, share updates, and assign light follow-up actions.
- Professional communication skills and confidence engaging with corporate audiences.
- Interest in sponsorship outreach.
- Comfort connecting with organizations via email or introductory virtual calls.
- Enthusiasm for promoting CIPS programs and initiatives.
- Experience supporting sponsorship development initiatives.
- Exposure to sponsorship building at a national level.
- Expanded business and professional networks.
- Recognition in CIPS communications and volunteer activities.
- Must be a current CIPS Certified Member, or
- An active CIPS Member for at least the past two years.
