A community organization in Iqaluit is looking for volunteers to assist with construction projects. No prior experience is needed, but knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred. Volunteers will support contractors and should be prepared with safety footwear, eyewear, and gloves. Habitat Iqaluit collaborates with Habitat for Humanity Canada's Global Village program to provide an enriched experience for volunteer teams visiting Iqaluit. The organization goes the extra mile to ensure that the teams’ stay is comfortable and enjoyable by arranging accommodations, securing travel discounts, organizing cultural and recreational activities, and coordinating community tours. The mission is to create a meaningful and positive impact in the community while sharing a love for the people and the land. Building site volunteers are required to support contractors on site with various projects. Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Office software and office equipment is an asset. No previous experience in construction is needed. Volunteers should wear safety footwear, eyewear, and gloves.
